Lets get things going here...
![]() Don't be fooled by this challenge. Although it seems simple, many will fail! HAHAHA joking... You will do GREAT! So here is the challenge: For seven days straight log into this thread and post the date and what you practiced. For example: ========================================== Day 1 - February 11, 2010 Practiced scales and Buleria falsetas for one hour. ========================================== That's it! Be honest and don't cheat. You will only be cheating yourself. If you miss a day, start over. Master your practice routine, improve your discipline and watch how you will improve your playing. As bonus you can post MP3 or Videos (YouTube, etc...) to not only show us your progress but for you to look back and listen to or watch how much you have improved. Have fun and take the challenge! ![]() P.S. Feel free to respond to users posts that take on the challenge and offer encouragement! ****UPDATE**** Everyone has different schedules and cannot practice all day everyday. The point of this challenge is to commit to seven days of practice. The challenge is in the consistency not longevity. Try to get at least 15 to 30 minutes in minimum. |

great idea! realistically, everyone should be doing this already.it's important to write down goals for every practice session in a journal or whatever. here's what i managed to do today.
day 1 technique: ligado - 20 min other left hand exercises - 20 min tremolo - 30 min repertoire: worked on my fandangos repertoire - 30 min claned up new solea por bulerias falseta - 15 min worked on my four sevillanas - 60 min practiced a vicente amigo taranta i transcribed yesterday - 50 min other: ear training - 15 minutes one question, i usually take sunday and saturday off from my usual practice routine to play for dance classes. so should i include those two days in the challenge or should i just wait for monday? i'll post a video of my playing this weekend. if i don't get to it, you guys have my permission to kick my ass. ![]() once again, this is an excellent idea! |

ok seven days in a row it is! just saw your update and thought i'd make a disclaimer: i have no life and therefore can practice the way i do. it may seem a lot to some or mere peanuts to others. i hope more will join in. i'm learning a lot already from this challenge. i find that by timing myself, i'm more focused and i can try to fit more into less time. +1 rep for coming up with a cool idea!
day 2 technique: picado - 60 minutes repertoire: solea por bulerias - 20 fandangos - 25 alegrias - 15 sevillanas - 20 tarantas - 90 other: ear training - 25 |
