I am very much interested on taking lessons. However, all I know about Flamenco is they wear beautiful dresses and hair. Hope you could educate me a little! (That's the main reason I chose Flamenco as a topic for my Art History class ) I feel so pathetic since I have admired this dance for a very long time and yet I know so little about it!

Just check around your local neighborhood/city to see who offers classes. Flamenco is great! Just go to class you will learn what you need to learn. If you have character shoes, wear those, with yoga pants and a t-shirt, or a skir to the class. If you need to buy real flamenco shoes then you can make that decision later, also ask your instructor where you can purchase shoes. Buying online can be a challenge since the shoes are handmade and each size is different, and they are in European sizes.
