Anyone try online Flamenco guitar lessons yet? Would like to know your thoughts on the quality of the lessons, is it easy to use, is cost an issue and any other information you could provide.
Falseta.com has reviewed two services: Adam del Monte: https://www.newlearningvision.com Jason McGuire: Learn Flamenco Guitar. Lessons & Techniques Do you know of any others? Thanks! |

That link appears to offer a great perspective on learning flamenco - There are several teasers with regards to lesson quality on YouTube. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll be able to take some lessons from him and post my thoughts ( as a beginner ) on here.

I am a great supporter of Adam del Monte and his lessons available through New Learning Vision. When I was first trying to understand Flamenco I looked at his series of 10 short films on YouTube. Each short film gives you a very good simple understanding of each of the most common palos. 7 months down the track I still go back and watch them and gain even more. plus his playing is a delight.
He is an excellent teacher. He explains each step clearly and slowly. And he insists you learn the subtleness of each pale. (He calls these details 'ghost notes' or 'colour notes') He's not as mechanical as Graf-Martinez but NLV is more advanced. Someone coming from Classical or Jazz or Rock who knew the guitar would love his approach. Rank beginner, not sure how a C chord works? I'd probably wait a little while before tackling New Learning Vision. But don't forget it. There is a wealth of stuff there waiting when you are ready. In the meantime enjoy YouTube - Understanding Flamenco - intro to flamenco guitar-clip 01-10 |

I agree. His YouTube clips are an excellent marketing technique that showcase the quality and detail of his lessons. Thanks for your input!

Well, apart from Sal's Flamenco soapbox videos on YouTube, I've found some excellent FREE lessons on Flamenco-teacher.com (videos, tabs by Ricardo Marlow) with some 'taster' snippets from reasonably priced videos demonstrating specific techniques, flamenco forms.
