I wasted money trying several programs. I already had good mics. Nothing was easy to use that produced good clean sound. Then I discovered the Zoom U2 ... the rest is history. Less than $200 and it is handheld or mount on a stand and has excellent built in mics. Awesome little device....
Don't know anything about this dealer but price is right. Zoom*H2*::*Portable*Recorders*::...

Thanks for the recommendation, did you use that recorder for the samples in my other thread? If so it sounds like a great bit of kit and Ill definately be investing in one.

Yes, I use it for all my recording. It has a lot of memory so you can leave it running. Neat little device. It comes with everything you need, except headphones for monitoring or listening to playback before converting to mp3.
I tried hooking my expensive professional Heil mics to it and it wasn't much improvement over the built in ones. It comes with a small little screw on stand for a table top. Most time I use it and put it on the coffee table, but if I want to get serious, I use my snare drum stand with the boom you see in the photo. I used it on the sound track for my Taranta utube video. Cool thing is you can take it with you to a concert, a lecture, lessons or juerga. It runs on batteries or the AC adaptor.

Thanks for that recommendation. Looks brilliant - I've been looking for something simple, idiot-proof and portable to use for recording, to replace my cassette player (I'm not joking!). Also looks 'cool' and I can use it to upload tracks to computer. Yippee.

The Bulerias sounds great and glad to share about the Zoom. I had several before it and wasted several hundred dollars before I found this little recorder. I was amazed at the quality of the mics on it. Good enough for what I do and excellent for taking with you if you travel. Here is a short Bulerias I did on mine for fun. What guitar are you using?

Your Buleria sounds great too!
We could make a nice duo! ![]() I recorded this on my Anders Eliasson Negra 2008. |
