Good choice!!
Niņo Miguel was (and still is) a fantastic player. It is really a tragedy that, due to drugs, we didn't get to see his career develop like say, Paco de Lucia. At one time people actually thought he would wipe Paco of the map! He has recently made a pretty impressive comeback, although he is totally unrecognizable from his former self. If you look around YouTube you will find him playing a pretty amazing version of Paco's Almoraima. My top 3... Moraito Pepe Habichuela Paco de Lucia honorable mention: Paco Cepero

Im looking forward to that documentary very much- Im not sure Ive ever actually heard Nino Miguel speak- It will be interesting to hear his take on his departure from the professional circuit and his reclusion into drugs and alcohol.
Its interesting aswell as many cite him as having had the potential to be better than Paco de lucia (as if that would somehow take away the value of his guitar playing!) Ive read comments on youtube spreading insane theories that PDL used to give Miguel drug money in exchange for falsetas! (and its not that easy to tell if these people are joking or not) People can get very emotional when discussing Paco and Miguel it seems |

My list would be a little controversial. I'd put Sabicas in because the seems to be to be the greatest exponent of very traditional Flamenco. And then I'd go tot he other end and add Vicente Amego because he's taken Flamenco to some very unrecognisable places. Then I'd add Paco de Lucia as a bridge between the two.
