Hi All,
I have just made a little tremolo falseta, in 3's. so, 1, 2, 3, 1,2,3 instead of 1,2,3,anda 4 anda 5. It is done a lot in othere palos, but......I want to put this one into a Seguiriyas......Is this too much or still aesthetical.........perhaps bad luck...... Vote yes or no, most votes count! ![]() Payul |

hmm...I have heard short Seguiriyas falsetas from some players (esp. Sabicas and Ramon Montoya) that seemed to be counted in 3s. I'm sure you could get away with it if it's not too long, and it won't ruin the feel of the Seguiriyas. But why not just put it into a Solea por Medio?
Sorry...kind of a "yes but" ![]()

Thanks!
Well , to be honest, I never thought of putting it into a solea por medio, never played a solea por medio, maybe a good idea to start with one! Good Idear! Do you know who plays solea por medio? I cannot think of anybody right now... Must be fun! |

Solea por Medio (sometimes called Solea por Bulerias or Bulerias por Solea, it's kind of confusing) is basically just Soleares played in the A position with the principal chords being Bb and A. The compas is the same but usually faster, somewhere between Soleares and Alegrias.
Many players play them solo although they're probably more common sung. I learned it a couple years ago from Juan Martin's book. Anyhow it's in the same key as Seguiriyas and it's counted in 3s so that may be a good solution to the problem. ![]()
