I've been working since Christmas on Moraito's 'Pampano verde'... I'm in the deep end and I'm not drowning, just trying to drink the pool dry...

Lately I've been banging out some falsetas for Tangos del Titi (in A minor). Also I've been getting into Serranas and Caņa, trying develop respectable guitar solos for them.

@ Black sheep,
Pampano verde, a nice one! Moraito is tricky in my oppinion, he makes a lot of music betweeen the notes, hard to capture!

@ Deteresa,
Tangos del Titi, one of my favorite tangos!
Nice you make your own falseta's! very satisfying..

Moraito always sounds like he's having a great time. Everything has a tremendous spirit to it.

Moraito is my #1 favorite guitarist. His duende and soniquete are off the charts. Every time I hear him play I feel like I'm back in Jerez, his music is so evocative of the place.
I have never heard Pampano Verde, does anyone have a link to a video or music file?

That's OK, Payul hooked me up.
Beautiful Buleria...doesn't sound technically too overwhelming, but with Moraito of course it is all in the swing.
Personally I've never had the patience for learning other people's stuff, although I wish I could. I have always just wanted to fool around and compose my own things.

Im currently trying to prepare Nino Miguel's 'A mi padre' for an end of term party we're having- Anyone else ever learnt some Miguel songs? They sure are challenging.

Two things at the moment.

A short Solea exercize and the Sevillana from Juan Serrano's book. I am almost through with the solea and expect to start on an alegria exercize shortly.
