Okay learning this song is actually driving me mad. Im trying to find a beat i can tap along to with my feet to make sure im in time but absolutely nothing works. Especially the very first bit, it is scored as 3/4 time (i know that traditional musical timings never work with flamenco- but its not even vaguely right...and nor can i make and kind of bulerias counting system work with it)

any ideas whats going on in this song?

Is there actually any point learning this kinda music from home without a teacher? In all the songs i want to play there seems to be some other kind of complication player specific thing going on...and im guessing there is here too.... like he's just changing the compas for more expression or something like that.

It is on the cd Andando el Tiempo.
It looks like more straight forward, and also there is some palmas ( knocking on wood) with it to keep it steady.

The orriginal composer of this piece Mario Escudero plays the beginning more or les it 3's like the rest of the piese, PDL is making the beginning like an intro.
