Thumbs up Learning Flamenco Guitar

Hey Everyone,

Adam Del Monte just posted a new article on Falseta.com. I asked him to talk about what it really takes to master flamenco guitar. You can read it here:

How To Learn And Master Flamenco - Flamenco at Falseta.com

A bit of the back story on this article....

Adam del Monte is an accomplished musician and respected Flamenco guitarist. I respect him tremendously and he has always shared his knowledge with us on Falseta.com.

With all the new online services promising to teach Flamenco guitar showing up on the internet, it seemed to me at least, that guitarist are wanting and falling for a "silver bullet" approach to learning Flamenco guitar.

Behind the curtain of shows and back stage conversations a big storm seems to be brewing about the authenticity of the lessons given online. The masses believe what they are finding online is real Flamenco.

New students are showing up for the first time with horrible habits and skills taught by the latest "Learn Flamenco in Five Minutes" online courses or YouTube video.

With $15 iPhone Flamenco metronomes, just about anyone recording what they call Flamenco on YouTube and several other non-expert sources creating more and more noise, I felt it was time to step back and ask someone who learned the old way.

What does it really take to master Flamenco guitar?

Although Adam was in the studio finishing his new CD and was getting ready to perform at the first annual Los Angeles Flamenco Festival, he made time for Falseta.com to write a great article.

If you want to know what it takes to really master Flamenco guitar, read Adams new article:

Hope you enjoy and look forward to your comments.

An excellent article! Adam Del Monte articulates an attitude towards learning which could and should be emulated in all areas, not just music. Thank you.
