Thanks dzack. The Sallky hansen cream doesnt seem to be available here in my local drug stores. And the local Whole Foods doesnt sell the New Nail stuff either. I guess they may not be available here in the backwoods of Canada.

But - a local nail salon expert (nice Chinese lady) - tells me there is a really super natural nail hardener cream available called something like "hard hoofs". She is going to get some for me. Well see how it works.

Incidentally, do you use the cream BEFORE the liquid, or after, or what/how, etc?

I use the cream before I apply the liquid. However, the cream can supposedly go through nail polish etc. so I think it can work both ways. The other thing that I forgot to mention is that I don't cover the whole nail. I only brush on one or two thin layers to the bottom half or so of my nail. This allows my nail to "breath" a little bit more than if it were covered completely.

I think you can order it online if you want. I would still ask a manager at Whole Foods if they can order it for you. They will usually do that and it will cut down on the shipping/cost for you.

I use Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, Instant Nail Hardener, it dries very quickly, but let it dry over night, I had a problem with my thumb nail braking, been using this for a few years now and has never broken since, and my nail is really thick and strong now, and I now use on all my naisl on my right hand.

If you do split, brake, crack a nail, just tip the end with some very thin clear nail tips (only on the dead part of the nail) then fill-in with the hardener, works very well, then let it grow-out, and keep using the hardener.

What are "thin clear nail tips"? Are they some kind of plastic nail that you glue on to the broken nail tip?
