Its safe to say that members in this forum are located all over the world. With so many great places to visit its sometimes easy to miss out on of the smaller venue or off the beaten path venue that has the best shows, food, etc...
Take a moment and post your favorite place locally that you enjoy going to watch Flamenco. Try to post as much information as possible as you never know... maybe one of us will swing bye for a visit! ![]() Venue Information Name: Address: City: State/Province: Phone: Website: Description: (like what to eat, drink or where to the best seat in the house is!) If you are ever in the Los Angeles, California area on Sunday's you can catch some of the best Flamenco performances! Name: Fountain Theatre - Forever Flamenco Show Address: 5060 Fountain Ave. City: Los Angeles State: Ca Phone: 323-663-1525 Website: The Fountain Theatre Description: The Fountain Theatre is a small venue and food is pretty much small snacks and coffee so make sure to eat a good dinner before arriving. Parking is a bit tough so arrive about 20 to 30 minutes early, don't worry you will not be waiting alone as usually there is a line formed already to get tickets! What the venue lacks in food and parking it makes up with atmosphere inside the performance area. With limited stadium seating everyone gets a great view and the room is really not that large so the sound is great. People in the audience really get into the show as usually they are huge flamenco enthusiast and performers as well. Unlike concerts that are a bit uptight and silent, Flamenco shows at The Fountain Theatre are a great experience. |

One of the greatest flamenco venues we ever came across was the ancient Penny Theatre in Canterbury.
The owner had installed 20 tons of sand beneath the oak stage, and along with the wooden and plaster galleried space, it provided the best acoustics anyone could want. We played it twice, just for the pleasure, and then it invariably fell in the hands of a barbaric brewery chain which destroyed it. It is now a brain-deadening 'Scream!' pub for students to drink tasteless lager and strawberry flavoured vodka in. |

The Penny Theatre sounds like it was a great place. At least you can say you enjoyed it while it was there!
