Hello! Briefly, I am retired from the US Army, and more recently from truck driving. My wife, Carolyn, and I will be living in the South Pacific in Tonga, beginning this summer. I have always been drawn to the fire and passion of Flamenco. So, now I will have the time to study and learn to play Flamenco guitar! I have no plans to perform or produce musical videos or recordings; this is a goal that is purely personal. 57 may be a little old to learn but I believe we must never stop wanting to learn new things in life. To stop learning is to stop living. Lastly, I am new to online forums, so I may err at times or commit a mistake in protocol, but please bear with me. Thank-you for letting me be a part of this community!

Hi Lionheart,
Welcome to the forum! Nice you have now the time for studying flamenco guitar! I had to google Tonga, but that is the tiny island near Fiji? I bet you are the best flamenco guitarist from the Island in no time! ![]() You live nearly exactly at the other side of the world for me..... The Island looks in google maps very nice and clean. Yes, it is a good way around the world! We will be living in the northern island group (Tonga consists of three main groups of islands) called Vava'u (sounds like Va-vow).
I hope I will achieve a creditable ability; thank-you for the vote of confidence! |
