Hey all,
My name is Dave but all my friends call me Stoney. I am a Canadian, living and working in Monterrey, Mexico. I studied Flamenco for about 6 years and then gave it up. I then went on to learn the diatonic accordion and later returned to the guitar, this time electric. I finally got those lead chops up but there is nothing down here in Monterrey in the way of authentic Rock so no chance of getting a band together. Now I'm back to playing Flamenco. With the solo chops I developed in Blues and other styles my Flamenco playing is really taking off. I am just recently back to it, playing on a cheap classical but I'll get a real Flamenco guitar this year with my Christmas bonus. I hope to put together some kind of duo or group playing Rumbas and other Latin and Flamenco based styles with two guitars, bass and percussion. Good to see a Flamenco forum - I've seen some cool posts already. I look forward to interacting with everyone here. Stoney |

Stoney,
Pasé por Monterrey el mes pasado con rumbo a Parras de la Fuente. Vivo en Houston. Viajo a México a menudo por moto. Un placer conocerte. |
