Default Introducing my self

Hi I’m Phill, been playing guitar for a very long time now, and I’ve just got in-to Flamenco, (last August 2009) and can’t get enough, I like Paco Pena, Paco de Lucia, El Nino Miguel, and my mate Tony who’s been playing Flamenco for over 20 years, and in my opinion is as good as some of the best, but he doesn’t think so! Anyway I’ve now gone from Solea, Farruca to Seguiriya, and trying to master tremolo!
Hope to hear about other peoples experiences!!

Hi Phill,

welcome here! What made you go into flamenco?
Nice to have a frend like Tony around,I think flamenco is best to learn face to face with an experienced guitarist.

Hi Payul, I’ve always liked Flamenco, but never really tried to play it, the reason I started, my brother-in-law has for years held a guitar night for Flamenco, for some of his friends, and at the time because I didn’t play flamenco, I never went, then when I had to retire from work I started to go, and was hooked! And Tony was also pleased, so I brought a Flamenco guitar (Yamaha 175SF) and started, now I also have a Antonio Aparicio, and a Francisco Bros. Your dead right about face to face learning, It’s so difficult to try and understand the written music!

Phill

Ho! I live in the U.K

Welcome to the forum Phill!

Flamenco is very much that way... It hooks in for life and never really lets go. Glad to have you here and look forward to reading your posts.
