Default Hi from the sunny UK

Hi Everyone.

First a couple of admissions
- I registered some time ago and have never introduced myself, sorry
- I don't play flamenco guitar.....

What I do do is support my 13yr old son's flamenco playing interest.
He's been learning/playing guitar for 6 years or so and almost exclusively flamenco for the past 2 1/2 years.

As well as providing encouragement (and money) I do the following:
  • I provide the taxi service for lessons / dance accompaniment / miscellaneous flamenco related stuff.
  • I maintain his guitars.
  • I look for playing/performing opportunities which are few and far between in the North West of England.

What its meant for me is a growing appreciation and interest in flamenco and an opportunity to meet some very interesting characters, both online and in person.

I suspect my contribution to this forum is likely to be very modest but I will try

"i think you can just start calling yourself the managar!"

Thanks for that Anthony

After battling through soccer traffic to get to Manchester this evening, then hung around for 3 hours whilst he accompanied 2 classes at the Instituto Cervantes Centre, my new 'Manager' title is good for the spirits
