Hi All
Been on the site for a while but not introduced myself. I am a psychologist by trade and live in Bargara on the east coast of Australia. I have been playing flamenco for about 4 years, generally teaching myself - battling through Juan Martin and Graf-Martinez. I play flamenco because it is my form of meditation. Like many here I seem to be the only one in the area playing flamenco. Luckily there is a brilliant teacher 300 kms away - and I do manage to get a lesson in 2 or 3 times a year. I watch the forum and pick up great tips and enjoy the fellowship which keeps me motivated!! To Flamenco!! |

Hey russellt2.
Good to hear from another Aussie. Luckily we do have a flamenco scene in Brisbane (only four hours away) with Flamenco Fire and Sarazu. During the Woodford Folk Festival there is some flamenco on the fringes. All the best Ten Thumbs |
