what is the "full preparation" technique?
Can anyone point me to a good resource on how to learn the full preparation technique? I guess you prepare i,m,a simultaneously after striking with p but i'm having trouble visualizing it or I would just like to see it done properly so I can be sure I'm practicing correctly.
Also, I have this book by corey whitehead and juan serrano that teaches to play arpeggios like i,m,a,m and i,a,m,a etc. and it says the proper way is to prepare each finger before it strikes a string. What is this book talking about? How does preparing fingers like this make you faster? It seems like it makes me slower but I've also hit a wall with my finger speed.
