Default Looking for Best Flamenco Song

O.k...I plan on adding a Flamenco song onto my website and I am looking for something subtle and sweet..This song would appeal to a mature, sophisticated group of people. These people would be potential clients thus the persona I am trying to project would be one of stature, class, sophistication and intelligence. I like flamenco but most of it seems overpowering. I like the sound but am looking for something a little on the softer side, almost like background music yet something that can grab your attention right away and keep you interested.

Try Lo Bueno y Lo Malo by Duquende/Tomatito

Or a Tarantas or Granaina (I like the one off Paco De Lucia's En vivo desde el Teatro Real ... if you can ignore the woman who coughs through it!)

Maybe this is a nice suggestion too...

From the film Vengo, it is a quiet song, keeps your attention, and not too much screaming, ( a lot of non flamenco find that annoying)

YouTube - Naci en Alamo

here is a nice one too, from Lola Y Manuel

My suggestion is go with Vicente Amigo... A bit more modern flamenco but Vicente has a great ability to create a mood and do it with a solid groove...

I would suggest listening to the Album versions of the following songs as the live videos are bit more aggressive.

Manuel, My Friend - (Compadre Manuel)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NrXUm64QX0

Three Notes To Say I Love You (Tres Notas Para Decir To Quiero)
YouTube - Vicente Amigo-Tres notas para decir te quiero

Tangos Del Arco Bajo

Hope this helps... Let us know what you end up using!

I would advise Juan Serranos Romance flamenco. Remember using other people music requires their permission. Juan has a fairly simple version of this piece in one of his books with demo CD that maybe you could learn and use your own playing on your site.

Im a big Pepe Martinez fan. You could use Choro Brasileño
as a cool website song. Its more brazilian than flamenco
although P.M. is definitely considered a flamenco player.

You can find it here:
YouTube - Pepe Martínez-Choro brasileño

I love that funky bassline!

Default Favorite website song

Get acopy of "El Vito" on the guitar. It is not too complex and very Spanish sounding for the general public.
