In other words...
In the thread 'Sore Hand' Payul was kind enough to translate some lyrics for me as it helps understan the palo if I know what the song is saying. Anyway I have a bit of a habit of translating the titles of songs on iTunes just for interest sake. I simply put the title into a web translator and it generally copes OK.
But here's my question for those who speak a little Spanish... Paco's 'Cositas Buenas' I've seen translated as 'Beautiful Things' and 'Beautiful Little Things'. So where does the 'little' come from? Alguien puede ayndar por favor?

The little come from changing the word Cosas to Cositas... Cosas Buenas would be "Good Things"... since the word was changed to Cositas it makes it dimunitive... adding the "little" meaning to it... Cositas Buenas actually translates to Little Good Things... If you wanted to say Beutiful it would translate to Cositas Bonitas...

translating Spanish is the easy part... you can post threads like this all day... its the Theory and Compositions of a Buleria type of threads that are a bit more complex to answer... hehehe...

Still... so far in the 7 months I've been learning I have really grown to love the journey that will never end... I love the complexity and I love the simplicity... I love the depth and sheer fun... I love that the more you look, the more there is to know... and I love that in the end, it can't be taught... just felt... just lived... just played...

Talking about translating,could anyone please translate the song Solo quiero caminar performed by Paco and Pepe de lucia in to English.I really love this piece but I cannot understand a word.
And btw,I heard some shouting in "Cepa Andaluza" but the only word I know its meaning was "Ole"  .

Just a quick clarification on the diminutive of "ita".. depending on gender, the diminutive would be either "ito" (masculine) or "ita" (feminine).

It's hard to fully enjoy the singing without knowing a Spanish word...
