Hi,
I was a student of Julio Vallejo in Madrid back in the very early 1970's. He was on Paco's 1971 album "Recital de Guitarra". He was 14 when I started lessons with him, so that would make him about 13 when he played on Paco's album. Pretty amazing technique for his age, but considering that he had taken lessons from Paco's father and was talented, it's no small wonder that he was included as one more professional musician for the gig. I have not heard a word of his whereabouts for many years and was wondering how such a stellar talent could just disappear. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated. I will soon put up some audio files on YouTube of this amazing guitarist so he won't be forgotten. I have already put up some YouTube audio files of Rafael Nogales that might be of interest to some archivists of old flamenco. These were my personal student tapes that I hoarded through the years and have now digitized them for sharing with the YouTube audience |
