Question DIY Cajon?

Anyone ever try to make their own cajon? I have been watching several youtube videos and looking for plans online... Any tips or advice?

Thanks!

Black Sheep is on a distinguished road
Default Research...

Speak to a Cajon player... that's is a good starting point. Ask about string patterns and ways of tuning the tension. I was talking to a player last night and he was describing the patterns that are available and how he uses the tension to create different sounds to suit different venues. The physical box is easy to construct for someone with a workshop. You've probably found lots of plans on the net... It's the strings and their placement that are the tricky bit...
