Bob Weisenberg is on a distinguished road
Default Son de la Frontera

I've been listening to Son de la Frontera. At first I was put off by the high pitched Cuban sound of the Tres, and it didn't sound very flamenco to me. But once I got over that and listened more objectively, I became enthralled with the way they have reinterpreted Diego del Gastor's music, and now I love both of their albums.

By the way, I highly recommend Rhapsody for people who want to listen to a lot of music for a very low price. It costs about $10 a month for unlimited listening to what I can only call the world's largest jukebox. It's got a lot of flamenco, although it's missing a lot of great stuff, too, of course. (I prefer Rhapsody because it's very strong in classical and world music, unlike some of the other online music services.) I don't know why anyone would choose iTunes over Rhapsody and have to pay $1 for every piece. I would go broke!

Hey Bob,

A close friend of mine raves about Rhapsody all the time. I went down the iTunes path for many reason I have now forgotten and yes a $1 a song can really add up!

This morning I am listening to:

Volando Voy - Camaron de la Isla
