Exclamation New Members Rule - Spam Control

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post to let you know about the new rules implemented on the forum. All new users will be required to respond to at least 5 existing posts before they will be able to start a new post. New users will also have to reply to 5 posts before they can include any links or emails in replies. After new users have replied to 5 existing posts they will be able to create a new thread, post links and emails.

The reasoning behind this is to avoid the increasing amount of spam. Plus I felt this was a better alternative than converting to a private forum or subscription to post forum.

All of you have done a great job at contributing and growing this forum. Please let me know what you think of this change and if you have any suggestions by replying to this thread!

==========
UPDATE
==========
This rule has been temporarily disabled.

Please create a new thread an introduce yourself to the forum here: http://www.falseta.com/forum/introduce-yourself-here/

If you need some help about how to introduce yourself (ie what should you write about?) I put together a quick post here: Read First: How To Introduce Yourself!

Have fun and look forward to your introductions!

Thankyou for trying to eliminate spam, it's definitely not what we go here for....flamenco related topics are! My first thread came rather quickly but it was a flamenco topic. I guess that means I squezed it in but I guess it's always a matter of judgement and good taste. We should all respect the dignity of this forum, and thankyou also for keeping it free!
