Hi everybody
My name is Slick Grant. I live in IOWA. I am teaching myself how to play Flamenco Guitar for the past 2 years and I love it. I started taking Steel Guitar lessons when I was 8 years old 1955. I took them until I was 12 years old. Then I got into Rock N Roll. When I was in high school 1964 I started a Rock N Roll band (The Malibu's). We played for 3 years and then split up and went on our own ways. I got married in 1967 and my new bride made me put up my guitars. They have been in there cases for 41 years, YIKES !!!! I just got them out in 2008 and started to play again. I wish I had kept playing, I would be pretty good by now. I have 7 guitars. #1 1962 Gibson ES-330TD semi. hollowbody electric with hard case and Gibson tube AMP that my mother bought for me in 1962. #2 2010 Gretsch G-5120 hollowbody electric. #3 2008 Martin 000X1 Acoustical. #4 2008 Yamaha CG-171-SF Flamenco. #5 Late 70's Guild Maderia A-18 Dreadnought. #6 Late 60's Lyle A-585 Classical. #7 year? (cheap) TAKA TG-300 Classical. I have a Gibson Console Grande Double Neck (8) Steel Guitar with hard case. My mother also bought this for me in 1958. This steel guitar is FOR SALE. I also have a Tentor Banjo 1930's Monkey Wards. I think I will quit know, my fingers tips are getting sore. I HAVE THE MUSIC IN ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
