I'm a US college student planning on traveling to Madrid on a post-graduation Europe vacation in May. I knew that I would have an opportunity to see some Flamenco when I'm in Europe, so I selected that as the genre for my college World Music class group project.

I'm really interested in seeing some legit cante jondo Flamenco when I'm in Madrid. A lot of the research that I've done for the project indicated that Flamenco has become very commercialized, and it isn't the same as it used to be.

I assume that my hostel will recommend a cheap commercialized Flamenco venue. Where should I go in Madrid to find good Flamenco?
