Hi everyone,

Have just joined in the hope that I can get inspiration and tips as I've just bought my first flamenco guitar (decent) and am working through the first few pages of Juan Martins book on how to play. I'm not really a guitar player having only picked a few English folk songs in the past. I'm more used to, and a lot more competent on, playing old time, open backed, five string banjo - clawhammer style. So this is is a bit of a challenge for me.

I've taken this up to accompany my partner who has got to intermediate standard in dance (she claims she can't practice properly without live music). So if anyone can give me pearls of wisdom, or even better, some lessons near Stevenage in the UK, I'd love to hear from you.
