there is also a kind of tapping that is similar to typical palmas, which is 1 (2) (3) 4 (5) (6) 7 (8) 9) 10 (11) (12)

Hi Asfalios,
With all the respect, but if you going to "learn" to tap with your playing, you should consider to learn it in 3,s. The video from Paco de Lucia is tapped in 3's also. ( he accent the 3's with a silence...* ^^ * ^^ * ^^ ) Most people tap in 3's, or they tap the way the falseta goes. In my oppinion 3's is more in the groove from bulerias. Also I Think ( not sure about that) most falseta's are in 3's So if you have this, * ^^ * ^^ * ^^ you can tap the * or, like paco does tap the ^^ both ways you tap in 3's. Good luck! Payul |

oh well (: yeah, I agree (with gods), but that makes it even more interesting (:
I try to tap, whenever I do, in compas, since it is normally even easier than in 3's, as most falcetas usually obey to compas accents just as they do to 2's and 3's (when applied throughout). And tapping in compas helps to grasping the feeling of the rhythm as well. |
