On January 21-30, 2011, the third edition of Flamenco of Netherlands will be held at Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht, with a complete program of recitals, workshops, conferences and street-shows in a variety of musical languages, from the samba, the piano of Dorantes, to Sevillanas, Brazilian music, Iranian music up to children’s shows.
Flamenco fans will also be paying tribute to Fernando Terremoto with the participation of Miguel Poveda, Diego Carrasco, el Torta, Jesús Méndez, Moraíto Chico, Diego del Morao, Luis el Zambo, Fernando de la Morena, Joaquín Grilo and other Jerez artists to spice up the ambiance.
“Flamenco sin Muros” a Dorantes’ show will likewise be featured, together with guest artists like Joaquín Grilo and Pastora Galván, and the work of Rafael Carrasco’s “ConCierto Gusto”.
Dancer Fuensanta la Moneta and singer Arcángel will also perform together for a musical program of contemporary flamenco which is entitled “Flamenco Sin Fin”, while singer Rosario la Tremendita is going to participate in “Qasida”, which is a multicultural encounter with Iranian Mohammad Motamedi . To top this festivity is the popular Moraíto which is going to offer a guitar recital.
“Tiempo de Leyenda” a documentary about the legendary Camarón de la Isla will also be shown, and there will be guitar, piano, palmas, compás, dance and cante workshops with featured stars.
Rocío Molina, Spain’s National Dance Prize, recent winner, who will offer a master class will be joining the fray vowing to give Flamenco enthusiast in Netherlands a grand time.
