Anglelita Agujetas is one of the renowned Flamenco performers today. She was born and raised in a small town of Rota near Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Angelita is a descendant of the Agujetas Family, which is considered a legend in the Flamenco world.
Angelita’s father El Viejo Agujetas is a widely acclaimed performer of the most authentic and moving interpreter of cante jondo. He is widely recognized and featured in a Carlos Saura’s film, Flamenco and also a subject of a documentary film by Dominique Abel. Angelita’s other siblings Luis, Diego, Paco, el Gordo, and Juana as well as her niece Dolores Agujetas and her nephew Antonio are all great Flamenco cantaores.
Angelita holds Flamenco lessons regularly.
