Frequently listening to Luis Maravilla, various palos, as well as Nino Posados, Ramon Montoya, Sabicas and, more recently, Manolo Sanlucar.

My own recordings, and why not? I put in some practice, and I thought I could hear a recording without all of the fear, and negativity, and it really put me in a good space to really hear it. I reccomend that to anyone.

Pepe Justicia is one of my favorite flamenco guitarists at the moment. I put him in the same category with Gerardo Nuñez for his ability to compose a complex-yet-soulful toque. He's modern but with a strong sense of the traditional mixed in there. It's hard to find, but my favorite album of his is called "Y Tiempo." His other two are also great, and are called "Solo Agua" and "Trece Noches"
I listen to these guys, too: Carlos Piñana Juan Carmona Miguel Angel Cortes Niño de Pura Chicuelo Niño Josele El Viejín All great guitarists!! enjoy! |
