@Mark - Thanks for making this application! It is evolving into a great Flamenco Metronome.

Thanks falseta. Also ex_caeruleus it now supports 24 beats in a compas. The original links now point at the new version.

Great work Mark. Thanx a lot. I was in badly need of a flemenco metronome & expecting something like the Graf-Martinez's one.

Mark, did you post a link to the zipped version of your metronome. The first link still shows exe.

I hope you learn to play flamenco as well as you develop computer programs; no doubt you'll be a sensation!

Hi lionheart,

The zipped version is linked a few post down from the top, here is the link to save you searching back.

I hope I learn to play flamenco that well also, if only I got to spend my working day playing flamenco instead of programming

Cheers,
Mark

@Mark: I got some points...

Each time I open it shows beats in compas=1. I mean it doesn't save the running config.

When I type tempo in the text box & press Enter there is no change in tempo as well as the tempo slider.

U used 2 buttons for play & Stop. I think one toggle button which also supports the Spacebar to play & stop is a better idea.

12 can be placed at the top vertical point - like conventional clock (also Graf-martinez)

Thanks for the suggestions fanush

I've made the following changes:

* Removed the stop button and now there is a single play/stop button. It should work with spacebar once the button has focus, so you may need to click on it with the mouse first and then you should be able to use spacebar to play/stop.

* Moved the last beat of the compas into the 12 o'clock position.

* Hooked up the tempo slider and text box so that you can now type the new tempo directly into the text box.

The original links point to the newest version.

The ability to save/load the current setup is something I've wanted to implement for quite a while but is something that will take a bit of time. So hopefully soon I will get a chance to do it.

Cheers,
Mark.

Mark:
I have one more suggestion if you ever come back to us:

To do contratiempos properly, we need to be able to double the tempo to 500bpm, if possible.

Great app though. Thanks again.

If anyone wants some palmas/cajon sounds I have a tiny zip file I'll send you if you PM me with your email.

Hello,

I lost the source code for the metronome when I formatted my computer, I was postive it was on another drive! Anyway, it means I get to start version 2.0.

Before I get cracking I was wondering what ideas people had on how it should work? Did people like the current design? Anything missing (eg. a double time option for contratiempos)?

Since I'm starting for scratch I'm happy to go anywhere with this so share all your ideas no matter how different they are from the original.

at_leo_87 that is a strange error. You could try re-downloading the executable incase it became corrupted. The only other thing I can suggest is updating your .NET framework if there are any updates available. Windows update should be able to do this for you.

Cheers,
Mark.
