John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia Live At Friedburg

I found this video while searching on Google…

The person who uploaded wrote “John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia tear it up at Friedburg, Germany”… Let me just say that this is an understatement… Now I have seen some serious shredders from Yngwie Malmsteen to Jorge Strunz (Strunz and Farah) but to see that speed not using a pick is simply incredible… You have to watch this video as Paco shreds unbelievably for what seems to be forever… Great video and google offers it as downloadable for personal use… Enjoy!

Paco de Lucía (b. December 21, 1947) is an internationally recognized Spanish flamenco guitarist, and leading exponent of the New Flamenco style. He is the son of flamenco guitarist Antonio Sánchez, and brother of flamenco singer Pepe de Lucía and flamenco guitarist Ramón de Algeciras. Paco is considered by many to be the greatest flamenco guitarist of all time. Not only does he dominate in flamenco, he is one of the very few guitarists who is also talented in other genres of music, e.g. jazz, classical, and world music.

John McLaughlin (born January 4, 1942), also Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, is a jazz fusion guitar player from Yorkshire in England. He came to prominence with the electric group of Miles Davis in the late 1960s, and with other well-known players such as Chick Corea and Tony Williams.

Yngwie Johann Malmsteen, pronounced “INGvay” (born Lars Johann Yngve Lannerbäck, June 30, 1963) is a virtuoso guitarist from Sweden who achieved widespread acclaim in the 1980s due to his technical proficiency and fusion of classical music elements with heavy rock guitar.
